About the project
Project CLEAN PRODUCTION is a cross-border project aimed at partnering and networking among companies who are active in the field of clean production and are based in Slovenia and Carinthia.
Clean production represents today one of the latest and ever more important trends within many of the developed countries’ industries, encompassing such diverse fields as automotive industry, microelectronics industry, pharmaceutical and food processing industries or solutions destined for public sector and its institutions, primarily public health sector and science in medicine. The term ‘clean production’ itself has a wide meaning, covering everything from cleanliness and hygiene in manufacturing facilities, cleanliness of manufacturing machinery and devices, sterilization of tools, and last but not least compliance of the staff, employed on the premises, with the corresponding hygienic standards. The area of clean production is today clearly defined with a vast legislative background consisting of numerous standards on the national, European and international levels.
Project CLEAN PRODUCTION acknowledges the fact that there already exist numerous companies with rich experience and competence from the field of clean solutions for the industry on the both sides of the Karawanken mountain ridge – in Slovenia and in Carinthia. However, these companies have until yet not been connected in common endeavours on the wider European market. On the same time one must bear in mind that both, Slovenia and Carinthia today already possess numerous high quality case-studies and references of clean production and clean room solutions already put in practice in both, the private and public sectors. Since the topic of clean production is gaining more and more importance in contemporary modern economies, the partners of the project have decided that all the rich knowledge, references and competences of the Slovenian and Carinthian companies should be put to use for common good in search of common synergies on the wider European market. And what is even more, the assessment and presentation of the common competences of Slovenian and Carinthian companies on one place could be of great benefit to the companies’ existing and potential business partners and to the interested professional public.
Project CLEAN PRODUCTION is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund, Ministry of Economic Development and Technology of the Republic of Slovenia and the Carinthian Economic Promotion Fund.
